Little Horus is a Cthonian Born ganger and captain of the Sons of Horus, Little Horus got his nickname from his resemblance to the primarch of his legion. He was a jovial and less serious commander than his brothers in the legion, this was a sharp contrast with his mournival peers Loken and Abbadon, but as the heresy continued he became more reserved, loosing what made him stand out amongst his peers, particularly the dropsite massacre and betrayal at istivaan saw him slay his former compatriots and friends such as Tarrik Torgaddon, which left a permamnent stain on his psyche, being the first recorded case of PTSD within the legionies astartes, having livid nightmares about the dropsite and Garviel Loken.
He would later be sent to engage the shattered legions after the dropsite wit the aid of Tybalt Marr, this would carry on for months until Aximand would come fact to face with Hibou Khan of the white scars legion who besed Aximand in a duel and sliced his face off in a singular strike. To his dismay he survived this encounter and had his face stitched back on, a mockery of what he had once been. Aximand would then fight Loken aboard the Vengeful Spirit and win, but Loken would survive and escape the flagship of the Sons of Horus. He would then arrive on terra with his company in time for the Siege of Terra, his most notable action during the siege was during the saturnine gambit, where he would be ambushed by Loken, The Knights Errant, and The Fangs of The Emperor and finally be killed by Loken, avenging the death of Tarik Torgaddon.

In game Little Horus like most SoH characters is a high command choice, and comes with artificer armour, a normal praetor stat line, banestrike bolter, the shield trait and his unique sword, “mourn it all”. Mourn it all is a better paragon blade, with flat two damage and otherwise sharing the same stats of critical hit 6+ and a strength modifier of +1, no initiative bonus, but he can gain an initiative bonus on the charge due to having Impact (I). He also has the “Haunted” Special rule which gives the player an additional two victory points for winning a challenge against Garviel Loken, its never going to happen outside a narrative game recreating the dropsite or such but is there.
As shortly as I talked about his in game stats I honestly find myself rating him as one of the better Sons of Horus characters gameplay wise, he only costs 170 points which is just 35 more than a praetor with a paragon blade, who will only do about half as much damage in a challenge, or a thunder hammer which will be striking last in a challenge most likely, he also will likely strike before a paragon blade if you are the one on the charge, and you get the shield trait which allows you to do the shield wall reaction if majority of units in the unit have shield. This means he synergizes great with chieftains as they can buff his already good challenge stats further, in turn he will buff the chieftains more by winning the challenge and triggering their “honor above all” rule, its a great combo.
In the books little Horus turns up a lot in the opening trilogy, shattered legions series and then saturnine in the siege of terra, I like his character a lot and he definitely makes scenes with Loken more enjoyable and his very non subtle foreshadowing in Horus rising is entertaining

His miniature is one of the most recent additions to the Sons of Horus range and its gorgeous, He is commonly used to convert other characters such as champions or praetors and is just overall a great mini, his face looks about as disgusting as you would imagine someone who needed it stitched back on in a hurry would look, my only complaint is his sword is definitely the least impressive sword in the legion, missing the over the top serrated edges or hooks most other sons of horus weapons have.
